The municipal primary school in Huizingen currently consists of two buildings: one for the primary school and administration, and one for the kindergarten. As both buildings are outdated and not very energy-friendly, we will erect a new building on the site of the current primary school.
The new building project will consist of three connected sections: the nursery section, the primary school and a central administrative section. The warm and friendly character of the school must be preserved as much as possible. Four classrooms with an extension zone will be provided in the new building. These classrooms will be used for musical education, technology, cooking classes, etc.
Moreover, they can also be used after school hours, e.g. for after-school childcare and other after-school activities.
